Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tatevatsi (the "app", "we", or "us") collects when you use the iOS app and this website (tatevatsi.com), what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep collection narrow and purposeful — if a piece of data doesn't make the product better for you, we don't ask for it.

1. Information we collect

To run an account-based learning app, we collect:

• Account info. Your name, email, optional phone, and the sign-in provider you used (Apple, Google, or email/password). For Apple sign-ins, your real email may be hidden behind Apple's private relay address — that's fine, we never see the underlying address.
• Profile content. Username, avatar (preset glyph or photo you upload), country flag, bio, and the learning goal you pick.
• Learning progress. Lessons completed, XP and stars earned, dictionary bookmarks, streak data, and per-day analytics. This stays tied to your account.
• Diagnostics. Anonymous crash and performance reports through standard Apple/Firebase tooling, so we can fix bugs.
• Contact submissions. If you use the contact form on this website, we store the name, email, and message you typed in.

2. How we use it

• To keep your account working across devices.
• To show the leaderboard (your username, avatar, XP, country — never your email or personal info).
• To send transactional emails — for example, the verification link when you sign up with email/password.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
• To reply to messages you send via the contact form.

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party ads in the app.

3. Where it lives

Your account, profile, and progress live in Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), a Google Cloud product. Transactional email is sent through SendGrid. Both are commercial-grade services with their own security commitments.

4. Sharing

We share data only in three narrow situations:

• With the service providers above (Firebase, SendGrid), strictly to operate the app.
• With other learners — but only the public surface of your profile (username, avatar, XP, country flag). Email, phone, and provider IDs are never visible to anyone except you.
• If we're required to by law.

5. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Edit your profile from Settings → Edit Profile.
• Export your data — email us and we'll send your account data within 30 days.
• Delete your account permanently. Settings → Edit Profile → Delete account. This wipes your profile, progress, leaderboard score, avatar, and the underlying Firebase account, and frees the email address for re-use.

6. Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we'll remove the account.

7. Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
